We are not the only ones to choose Faith over Fear; God over Gloom; Worship over Worry, and Church and Faith Community over Confusion and Chaos. Our rich history shows that our founding fathers of Saint John Baptist chose to worship God when they had no place of worship. Instead, they chose to create a faith community, under a brush-harbor on a plantation called the Smith Quarters, in the midst of the segregated South.
Despite our present challenges of being separated as a congregation and prohibited from worshipping God under one roof, we choose to celebrate our rich faith history and heritage. So, I invite you to join us each week in the month of November as we present segments of our Church History and interviews with members who will share how the Church has influenced and impacted their lives down through the years. And with our rich history in seeing what the Lord has done, we embrace the future anticipating the bountiful Blessings the Lord has in store for us! Thank you for joining us in the celebration, and may God continue to favor you as you continue to walk in the Blessings.
Yours in Christ
Reverend Dr. Jamey O. Graham, Sr., Pastor
