Volunteer Opportunities

Our talents and our gifts can be used in stewardship.
  • God provides His glory to the betterment of His creation. When Jesus becomes our Lord, He becomes Lord of our time, talents, finances, and everything we posses or may come to posses. We may come to realize that we are not our own, but we have been bought with a price. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Now is the time to realize that there will come a time when all of us will have to give an account for every careless word we have spoken. (Matthew 12:36)

What is stewardship?
  • Webster's Dictionary states that stewardship is the individual's responsibility to manage his/her life and property with proper regard to the rights of others. Holman's Bible Dictionary provides that stewardship is when one is utilizing and managing all resources in a responsible manner.
  • However, we often think of stewardship as our money in tithe and offerings to the church. That is true, but stewardship goes further than that. It is good to be reminded that stewardship is not only about giving back a portion of our money, but it is also about the giving of ourselves and our time back to God.
       a) (Acts 11: 27-29; 1 Corinthians 3:10-17) Our bodies and our minds can be used to perform awesome works for God. (Romans 12:1-2)
       b) Are we caring for others as God would want us?
       c) Are we caring for our families? (1 Peter 3:1-7; 1Timothy 5:8; Ephesians 5:25-31)
       d) Are we teaching and shepherding in the way the Lord has established for us? (Ephesians 6:1-4)
